Just another thought... don't know if ballasting your tires is OK with the backhoe on the MX. That's a lot of weight on the back... over 3,000 lbs. On mine - similar size and hp to the MX - it was either one or the other, not both, at least for warranty. There have been threads here on TBN about why Kubota has that restriction... some say axle loading, others it puts too much stress on the BH if you use it to lift the back end over a ditch, my dealer said the ROPS wouldn't be able to stop a rollover with that much weight. Some folks did it anyways, and I can't recall hearing of any problems later. I dunno, but thought you should at least know about it. Your dealer no doubt has better info than my knowledge.

enjoy your new mx5100 hst.they are stout little tractors.i worked mine pretty good when i had it.you want weight on the rear end when your lifting anything with the fel.

Congrats on the new tractor. If you do a straight pipe on it definitely post up a video of how it sounds. I want to put a stack on mine and keep going back and forth on whether to straight pipe it or not.

Congratulations on your new tractor. I just got my MX5100 HST on the last day of July. Got mine at Hoobers in Pa. I have a 7 foot finish mower for the back and got a larger bucket for the front end loader. Still getting use to it but I like it so far. Its my 4th tractor (one at a time) and first new one.

This is GREAT advice. Thank you. I wasn't sure about that either and it sounds like it'll save me from having to load the tires!!! I was dreading that TBH. I'll just make a big *** weight box for when the hoe is off.
I think that's the thing I'm looking forward too most. Everything I own is straight pipe!!!! I say do it! On a turbo diesel the turbo acts as a muffler.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys! I'm really excited to get it, i'm sure I'll find a ton of uses for it. I really didn't need a tractor yet at all, but if I was going to buy one I was going to buy new, and the only way I'd ever consider it was to beat tier 4. I won't have that on a road vehicle I **** sure won't have it on a tractor. I'm really hoping to get my truck built and finished before everything comes in for the tractor. It'd be the perfect break in run to drive down there and pick it up and haul it the 5 hours home.
Edit: oh and to the few that asked I most definitely spec'd it with quick attach front loader!! I couldn't afford the thumb or the QA on the hoe though

Meet my 1976 Ford F250 powered by a 4-53t Detroit 2 stroke, affectionately named "Jimmy". It's currently under the knife for a full engine rebuild, as well as conversion from auto to a 5 speed main and 3 speed auxiliary. Can't wait to get it back up and running!!!
