New hot water heater

I've taken the anode out and replaced with a plug. The anode was such a rotten, disgusting thing after a few years use that I don't want it touching water that touches me, no matter how much benefit there is.The tank still lasted for years until I replaced it with a unit that runs off my boiler. Make sure to use the drain on your water heater occasionally to get the crud out of the bottom before it builds up so bad it plugs it, whether you have an anode or not.

You're anode was rotten & disgusting so you took it out. Akin to a magnet you've removed and now, without the "magnet" (anode rod) in the heater to CATCH the iron filings, all the iron filings are in your pipes & shower head & kitchen faucet & water line for fridge?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Theory being that had you left the "magnet" in the heater, none of the filings would be further downstream to meet you every time you took a shower?

I have to agree with Gatorboy on this one. Binary is a numbering system, not a count of the number of states, or transitions.

To make things even more confusing to everyone we could add octal and hexadecimal in.

My Kubota is a BX101110111000 in binary, a BX2734 in octal, and a BX5DC in hexadecimal. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
