I second the motion for a CD of all technical manuals with updates available FREE during warranty period, and then for a small fee after warranty is up. Say a dollar?!
Just about everything today comes with a CD rom of use, etc.
With the investment in a tractor a disk would be cheap for Kioti to burn gazillions of them from master disks for virtually no expense except for the master disk. And it's better for 'green' concerns due to less paper and no printing costs.

While I certainly do want a computer based version, I would seriously encourage all DK owners to purchase a copy of the paper version. It is about the best maintenance manual I have ever seen. Very well written (in English) and extremely well illustrated. It is also geared at a non professional mechanic and provides very nice summaries of the various tractor systems/basics as well as specific troubleshooting algorithms. Seventy something bucks is well worth the cost of not needing to haul your tractor to the dealer for a diagnosis and costs about the same as a lot of dealerships charge for a single hour of labor. Gold star to Kioti and the team that put it together.

I think he was long gone before the new DK line came out. The CK20 maintenance manual was not nearly as professionally done but was relatively readable compared to some Korenglish documents I've seen. If I am recalling correctly, that was the document he helped out with. The new DK maintenance manual is really quite a step up from anything I've seen before.

Never forget your roots. He was an influence to help adapt Kioti to the North American market place as far as the manuals go.

My thought would be for all maintenance manuals to be freely available for download in .PDF form from Kioti's website. As issues are found in various models, addendums could be added. This would include operating and service manuals for all tractors and all attachments.

While there is a cost of putting these together, better documentation leads to better maintenance. Better maintenance leads to better performance, reliability, and thus reputation...meaning better brand and better sales.

Seems a no brainer to me...am I missing something?

Good idea. I'll try to do that but will need to wait until I can bring my maintenance manual back from the island in order to review it. Too busy tractoring when on the island to attend to TBN.
