New Kioti Service Requirements

I can see using the Kioti dealer for the fist 50 hour maintenance but after that who cares who does it. I also think that if you service it yourself or someone else keep the receipt proving that the liquids and filters where changed in case of a warranty issue. It works like that for car warranty.

KIOTI Warranty Language:

Warranty work must be completed by an Authorized KIOTI Dealer.
Scheduled maintenance can be performed by the owner using KIOTI recommended Fluids and Filters, All service records need to be kept.

Sort of. You said you thought that's how it worked because that's how car warranty works. MichiganIron is providing the verbatim language from Kioti to remove the wiggle room of "I think so". HTH.

Not really you stated after the first 50 hours who cares who does it.I also think MIE verbiage is great advice.How do I know that?Funny you should ask,bought tractors,parts,service from MIE for quite a long time and I trust there opinion.It,s your tractor roll the dice and take a gamble.LOL

Well - I've never had warrantee work on my current tractor that required delving into what exactly the wording was. BUT - a friend did get to that point on a walk behind rototiller. WHAT HE THOUGHT - had no bearing what-so-ever on the final outcome. The EXACT wording of the warrantee is the FINAL authority. Interpretation of any warrantee could require final resolution in court. Nobody wants that - but its simply the way things could go.

The exact language provides the wiggle room. Note the phrase ‘Scheduled maintenance can be performed ... using’ . It does not state ‘shall be performed..... using’. Big difference. The ONLY filters any manufacturer will recommend is their own brand if they have them. They can’t mandate the use of those filters without supplying them at no cost.

I didn't mean the wiggle room in that a person is allowed to do it themselves, I mean the wiggle room in a statement made with "I think", the wiggle room being the possibility of being mistaken. The language from Kioti is clear, recommended fluids are required but anybody can perform the work.
