New Kubota 7060 HDC

That is considered one of the best models Kubota makes, especially with a cab. What a wonderful, powerful and useful tractor.

Remember to check the front axle and front hub oil now and after a few hours. For whatever reason, they all require more as you get a few hours on them. Some a lot more even though the dealer checked them. The axle is easy to fill but the hubs harder. You either have to take the front wheel off for best access or use a squeeze bottle --like for ketchup--to fill. I did the bottle but should have taken the wheel off. When you check the front hubs, don't lose the copper washer under the plug. It should stay stuck to the hub.

Thanks for the tip on the front axle. I will check that after a few days. I will post pictures when we take delivery. We are also getting a little 6' rotary cutter, 300 gallon sprayer, 4400lb forks, and a RBT 3596 hydraulic blade. I'm too lazy to get off and change the angle of the blade anymore. We will get a 10 or 12 foot rotary cutter later next year.

You might also need some rear wheel weights if you lift much heavy stuff. Assuming it comes with cast wheel centers, adding two weights to each side will take care of things. It's "bouncy" otherwise. I think they are 168 lbs each weight. Weights are around $300 a pair times two = $600. Chump change for the joy it creates.

It does have the cast wheel centers. We seriously considered a JD 5075E, but didn't like the loader movement. The Kubota has very precise loader movements. Most of the loader work will be limb shearing and brush removal. Nothing really very heavy. I have a Cat skid to do heavy loader work.

If you didn't get skid shoes with the rear blade, add them to the order. They truly make life easier. :thumbsup:

Congrats on the new tractor!!!! Anxious to see pics of course!!!

I agree with others that you'll want to consider additional rear wheel/tire weight. Especially if you use a Grapple or tree shear.

My M9540 has rear cast centers, one cast weight on each side and tires filled with fluid. No problems if just using the FEL bucket. Add Grapple chores and it becomes light in the rear.

You will way happier with the M7060 and I compare both on an almost daily basis. You may need those four rear weights to be fully blissful, however.

Getting the skid shoes has nothing to do with snow. I have plowed snow once in my life. It has to do with limiting how deep the cutting edge will go. While they can be set to have the edge 1" above grade, (for snow plowing) they can be set to have the cutting edge even, 1" down or 2" down. And of course if the ground is very soft they will just sink. But after doing without for several years, it sure was nice to get them with this blade.

And it's not like you can't work without them, it is just much much easier with them.
