Kubota B2650
Hi All,

A couple days ago I pulled the trigger on a new B2650 with FEL and 60" MMM. As soon as it gets delivered (hopefully next week) I'll be a proud new orange card carrying member.

People here have already been very helpful doing my shopping around period, and I have no doubt that I will be back again and again. In fact, I'll be making a second post here shortly to solicit advice on a tiller :)

If anyone has thoughts on the Sicma brand I'd be happy to here them, but I didn't want to hijack this forum with a tiller specific question.

I'll post some pictures when the new toy arrives.

Congrat's. Very nice tractor. Looking forward to hear how you like it. I'd like to know what you think about the power once you get to work it.
I wanted one but decided on an open station because of the work I do in my bush.

HAVE FUN.

Hi Paystar,

I'm assuming by open station you mean no cab? The model I bought is the ROPS model, not the cab model. Living here in NC there's no way I could justify paying for a cab. The pictures I see of guys blowing snow in Minnesota, that's another story

I'm hoping myself the power works out. I would have gone with the 3350, but the price difference is HUGE. The 2650 comes in just under the new Tier IV requirements so it only prices out a bit more than the 20 series. I'm by far not an expert on motors, but the 2650 has the same displacement as the 2920 and I'm inclined to think Kubota de-tuned a larger engine to avoid the Tier IV expense.

Anyway, I'll be finding out soon and I'll come back and share.

Congrats, I think it will have enough power. The power to weight ratio is way higher on the B2650 than what tractor were 60 years ago.

The Kubota site doesn't list the 2320,2620 or the 2920 as I read it. But the 2650 has all the bells and whistles, weighs a little more, has greater 3pt capacity, but the same engine HP and 3pt HP as my B2620. You should really be happy with it. In my experience, mine does all that it was designed to do. The tiller decision will get you to scratch your head, because there are several good ones out there. Mine is a Land Pride that covers the width of my track. It appears that your model has a bit wider track.
Cheers,
Mike

I almost pulled the trigger on the 2930 that was on the lot, but started reading the specs on the 2650 and decided the features they have added more than made up for a slight increase in cost and slight decrease in power. These forums have so drilled into my head that Position Control is the way to go that when I found out the 2650 had introduced that I was pretty much sold.

Oh Ok thanks Mark. I wasn't aware they finally released the non-cab 50 series. Can't wait to see pics. Maybe that's why I got such a good deal on my B20 series. Yes, I just bought a B2620. My dealer has a few B2650 cabs and they are very nice. And expensive.
You should be good for power then. I just remember reading a test of the cab model on another site that said the 26 h.p. is not overpowered when you have the air conditioning going and the added weight of the cab.

I'm going with a Lucknow 50" tiller. It is gear drive and a good price.
