New Kubota Grand L 6060 or Yanmar YT 359C

Paul's tractor is all tricked out, He has a wonderful shop to be able to do all that stuff in the house.
I would love to have his shop with all the trimmings inside.

do ya have an update? did you get your machine? I'm having trouble deciding between the L5460 and the YT359, no cab for me though. Like I mentioned in the other thread, Kubota Dealer is 20 miles from me. The Yanmar Dealer is 125 miles away...LOL. I think the Yanmar has a stronger loader.

I ended up going with the Kabota L 6060.

The problem I had, was the Yanmar dealer was 300 miles away from me and also it was so new with very few people putting out testimonies.

Also with that new transmission there is no way to put a mid PTO on the tractor so if you ever want to have a front snowblower you will have to go with one of the hydraulic packs that mounts on the back of the tractor.

And all the research that I've done they say that the hydraulic front Snowblowers for the compact tractors are really not perfected yet and don't blow half as well as the ones coming directly off your PTO.

The other issue I had is I wanted to be able to have super high resale value and I know if you put a very well-maintained Kabota for sale you will have no problem selling it.

Also it's very nice to have a huge database of people to ask questions and so forth online, and you have that with Kubota. If you have any kind a question about your 5460 you have tons of people on here and the Kabota website to answer any question you would have.

And while I'm sure that Yanmar Tractor is probably a very nice tractor I think you need a big support group if you have issues.

Also with Kubota you have a dealer very close to you and anybody that you would want to sell it to Wood also have a dealer very close to them because they have a huge dealer network. Also don't forget about parts you're going to have a much larger arena to order parts from for Kabota than you would with Yanmar Tractor at Will also don't forget about parts you're going to have a much larger arena to order parts from for Kabota than you would with Yanmar currently.

Anyway I hope that was helpful but that was my two cents worth going with the Kabota tractor.

The other thing is you can probably upgrade to a Kabota L 6060 and still be the same prices that Yannar

all good points. i dont have a snow problem where i live, so not having a mid mount PTO isnt an issue. you are correct, if the Yanmar was established like Kubota is, with dealers and parts everywhere, and an online forum filled with people who own 'em, I wouldn't have a problem purchasing a Yanmar right away.

your reply was helpful and I will most Likely choose Kubota. I cant believe spending 40,000 + dollars on a tractor is becoming a reality...I feel like I should be able to get such a heavier used machine for that. but id like NEW because of the 0%, warranty, and because of my limited knowledge of tractor mechanics, i dont want to buy someones used up thing and get screwed.... obviously I'm having separation issues...money from wallet...LOL

Never saw this thread till today, I was considering the same 2 tractors, L6060 and YT359, I went with the Yanmar, couldn't be more pleased with it, 86 hours on it now.
