Yes. ZF is confirmed I think. But ZF is in A LOT of machines. I didnt see what engine they were using yet. That may or may not be some indication of help from somebody.
As I said, Kubota mentioned a couple years ago about buying their way into this space. I dont recall seeing any tractor company purchases by Kubota, but I wouldnt be surprised if they somehow managed to get some engineering help along the way. Agco or Deere likely wouldnt offer anything but an anchor to sink them lol. That leaves Claas who are small and independent enough. CNH would be doubtful too.

I thought I read somewhere that Kubota was going to make tractors up to 170HP but they were still looking to purchase a company for tractors over 200hp.

I thought I read somewhere that Kubota was going to make tractors up to 170HP but they were still looking to purchase a company for tractors over 200hp.

I dunno.

One thing Im pretty sure of is that if they want to play in the large Ag Euro market, they better have a very good, modern, high tech product. They have higher standards over there. The old Chevy vs Mercedes thing.

As it stands right now Kubota doesnt get a whole lot of love in the UK for the larger M's. They will have a bit of a fight on their hands to win market in the larger Ag sector from the bigs like Fendt, Massey, New Holland and Deere.

Kubota also suffers from a lack of dealerships too.

It sounds like Kubota is not a well established brand there. That is probably the same talk you would have heard here in the 80's from farmers about Kubota's. It is going to be tough for them to get in the large ag market. I wonder why these tractors are still called M sereis? When will there be a N sereis:laughing:

6s The horsepowers line up about perfectly. Now Deere needs to come out with a 6130.

Kubota has a 3.5% market share in Europe and is looking to punch it up to 4% which isn't much of a leap.

The power shift appears to be the same one used by Massey but the CVT appears to be different although ZF states that their CVT is used by nearly every major tractor manufacturer. John Deere has their own design, Fendt has their own. That cuts down the field quite a bit.

The talk of Kubota buying or partnering with someone else was years go. I think they've given up on that since they have now built their own factory. The engine is their own 4-cyl. The expectation has generally been 6-cyl in this size, however your going to see this changing with emissions requirements.
