I paid an extra $400 for R4's on my L4330.

I went with the quick attach bucket (thanks to TBN). Plan on doing a front mount boom on a quick attach plate.

Went with the standard bucket, I could not see paying an extra $300 for only a little more steel. The 723/853 bucket (same bucket for either loader) with quick attach weigh 397lbs for the HD and 331lbs for the standard. The 723 bucket w/o quick attach weight 331lbs for the HD and 293lbs for the standard.

Bought my L3710 with R4's on it. If I ever have to replace them I will go with an ag style tire. I've lost traction a few times but that was before I loaded the tires. I haven't pulled much since the tires were loaded. About all we have here is clay so I don't have to worry about hurting the lawn, its like a rock. I'm sure I would prefer ag style cleats for my gravel hill. Our little '47 Farmall Cub gets better traction with ag tires than the Kubota.

I took delivery on an L-3130 HST in the end of June. It has R4s, 4-position valve, and the LA 723 loader with quick attach.

Instead of buying the Kubota HD bucket, my dealer suggested a HD (round back) bucket from ATI (a TBN sponsor). The ATI bucket was a couple of hundred dollars less than the Kubota HD bucket.

I bought the HD bucket because it has a replaceable cutting edge. My opinion is that the cutting edge takes the majority of the abuse when digging or snow plowing. With the replaceable edge, you can, in effect, get a sharp new cutting edge.

Gary, thats great getting the less expensive and I am sure well made ATI bucket. The HD bucket from Kubota also accepts the bolt on cutting edge. I opted not to get it simply because it's need for my uses is not necessary. When I asked the dealer when one would want to use it his response was that it is used primarily by folks who use the bucket on a very abrasive surface like asphalt or concrete, a condition one will likely encounter when removing snow. My previous tractors did not have them either and the cutting edge wore very well in the dirt we have around here. It would seem that this may be a great option for Neophyte regardless of which brand tractor he purchases.

I opted to get the cutting edge with my new (soon to be delivered) 3830. At my place I have a concrete feedlot that was set up for cows, as well as a concrete silage bunker that the wife wants to turn into a huge compost pile. I didn't want to wear out the HD bucket dragging it on all that 'crete, hence the wear blade.

I'll probably add a toothbar sooner or later as well, but at the moment my plans don't involve a lot of digging; just moving manure/compost around.

Last week I went back to the Kubota dealer to tell him I'll take the deal on the L3130 HST.
He said he would have to come over my house and look at my trade, he said the price he quoted was a playpark price and now that I'm serious he has the come out and get an accurate price.
The trade is a L2600DT with a LA 450S loader with only 63 hours, that I bought last year, it is garage kept.
The Kubota dealer just came out today and looked at my trade, he said he didn't need to start it, with only 63 hours on it everything should be like new.
He said he would call tomorrow and give me a price.
He said he forgot the L2600DT didn't have a live PTO, and that would change the price.
Do you think the dealer is jerking me around ?

I'd have to yes he is.

Any dealer should know those things before quoting you a price, especially if he's that brands dealer. I'd be careful of this and stick to the price quoted or go somewhere else.

He did tell you the truth about one thing, with only 63 hours everything should be as new. If there is a problem he'll fix it under warranty.

We can always hope for the best that he'll come back with a quote giving you more than he originally quoted. Good luck.

Every dealer has a used tractor guide (just like NADA for cars) you need only take five seconds to look up a value so needless to say I agree with Dave. I would wait and see. If you think he's lowballing you shop his quote, tell him Deere gave you a better offer and see where that takes you.

As long as your tractor is under 3 years old it has power train warranty on it. Kubota's standard warranty is 2 year full coverage minus wearables (filters, belts, rubber on the tires, ect.) and 3 year powertrain (engine, transmission, rear axle). Which with your unit only being a year old means your are in good shape. Good luck to you! Let us know what he ends up offering you!
