Seems like they'd be fairly easy to machine.

Good luck with your new 'Kubota experiment!' From my experience with Kubota, when they break down, the local dealer here seems to respond pretty well. Make sure you get the KTAC insurance, as it covers practically anything you can break.

The Kubota purchases are not an experiment as was my MF experiment. You recall that I bought a Kubota B1750HST in 1994 and have had absolutely no problems with it in the nearly 22 years that I have owned. Nothing. Not so much as a fuse, fan belt or lamp. Nothing.

No need for insurance. They're paid in full.

Depending on your use, the KTAC insurance might be worth it. It will cover all of your mishaps as well... Crash into something and break your cab glass? $200 deductible and it's covered. Cut down a tree and it falls on your machine? $200 deductible and everything is fixed. Drive over a pile of branches and puncture your radiator? Same thing.

Good luck with your new tractor. Hopefully your dealer is as good as our local one when breakdowns occur.

Thanks, TSO.

Usually, I do not buy insurance, extended warranties, etc., and did not do so with either Kubota. Usually, I just do my own mechanical work after the warranty period.

That said, I'm 66 and each year I do less of my own work than I did the previous year. Perhaps I will consider it.

My local CNH/Kubota dealer has treated me well and I have few and very minor complaints so far.
