I am looking to sell my single axle 3500 12ft x 77in trailer to get one that can carry more weight.
The new trailer will still need to be 12ft x 77in so it will fit in my garage. However I want to go to a dual axle trailer. Either 2 3500 or at the most 2 5k axles. Not sure if the larger axles would be over kill.
Some of the things I want to get in the trailer are:
1. Bulldog coupler
2. LED lights
3. Ramps mounted under the trailer. To load something small if needed.
4. Spare tire and mount
5. Pipe top railing
6. Brakes on at least one axle.
7. 7 pin connection

My uses for this trailer will be the following.
1. Permanently have my Lincoln ranger mounted to the front of the trailer.
2. Haul pipe and concrete to do fence work.
3. Haul building supplies.
4. Not sure on this one, but would like to maybe haul a skidsteer, or compact tractor once in awhile.

Please let me know if I am missing anything or should upgrade some options.

If you want to haul a skidsteer or tractor, I'd opt for the 5k axles with brakes on both. The trailer weight is going to take up about 25-30% of your capacity, and add a 500 lb welder to the mix, you'll need the extra GVW.

Measure the length of the tractor or other equipment you are thinking about hauling. A 12' trailer gets short real quick.

12' trailer will be about impossible to put a tractor on, skid steer also for that matter. If it were me I would simply buy a new couple, wiring, fenders, and a second 3,500# axle like the one you have with brakes on it then have a fab shop modify it for you. Or since you are welder do it yourself. It think it will be the cheapest way to go.

Finding what you want in 12' and only 77" wide will be tough.

Big Tex has a couple double axle trailers listed in the 77" wide x 12' size.
They are the Model 60SP, and 50LA. They can range from 10-18 or more feet.
I agree with Chris that 12' is kinda short if you have your Lincoln welder mounted plus want to load a tractor or skid steer. Plus for a skid steer you'll need at least a 10 - 12K trailer.

Thanks for the replies.

I am locked in on a 12ft so that can't get any longer due to storing it in my garage. I however do need the extra weight for carrying more stuff, and was hoping/dreaming that I could haul some small equipment once in awhile.

Now knowing that it is not a good idea to try to squeeze a tractor on that short of a trailer I will just opt for the 2 3500 axles with all the options I want. I don稚 own any heavy equipment so I would just be renting one here and there so I guess I could just as well rent the trailer at the same time.
