Hope no one minds me bringing back this thread. The Bath tub project lead to the cabinet needing replaced. Previous cabinet just did not match well.

Here is the picture of the new custom built cabinet just home form local cabinet shop. It is made of Ash and ready for stain.

Here is the fluted trim and rosettes to be used to frame the mirrors. It is also made Ash and is in the process be being stained.

Here is the cabined after a rosewood stain and 9 coats of polyurethane. It got a light sanding after coats 3, 5, & 8. Sanding after coat 8 was with 330 grit paper. Trim got the same treatment.

Coat #9 got to the finish to the point of having a mirror effect. At that point it was good enough.
