Zonta. My point exactly... failure of the dealer to prep the tractor resulting in brand bashing. No oil pressure? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that was not on the list. I have the emails, I will check Monday. Seriously the engine would've locked up within minutes without oil pressure. Do you think I don't have the exact same issues with Jinma? I received two containers of Jinma's just last week all with loader issues, oil leaks, cosmetic issues, electrical issues, it's all part and parcel of Chinese tractors. One JM554 even has main hydraulic cylinders that are different lengths. I wear the cost of these pre delivery repairs.
Some facts for you...
Luzhong 280 series run a KM385 or 3T30 engine. The exact same engine found in many Chinese tractors including Jinma. Luzhong do not manufacture engines.
Luzhong as well as other Chinese tractor factories do not make loaders. The loader is not fitted to the tractor at the tractor factory. The importer has a choice of which loader is fitted to the tractor. Unfortunately many importers buy on price, a price that includes assembling the loader to the tractor. Yes I made that mistake when I first began importing many years ago.
Thanks for the link Zonta, it reinforces what I have said previously and the necessity of dealer prep. Note the section about the clutch pedal being in the fully depressed position and being stuck in gear. HiLo not engaged fully can lock the detents, no other gears can be selected. There is an explanation as to why this can happen in my first post to this thread. There is of course the posssiblity the dealer failed to adjust both the clutch and detent linkages correctly or operator error as in riding the clutch. I contacted this seller a month or so ago advising the clutch may not be worn, may only require correct adjustment which I was happy to talk him through free of charge. He was going to have his mechanic call me for the adjustment procedure, I have not heard from him yet. Personally I believe the seller has a gripe with the Fumetsu company and is more interested in brand bashing than resolving his tractor issues.
