Dealer New M Series, Local dealer has four.

Passed by a local Kubota dealer today and spotted four new M series tractors. Three were 9540's 4wd the other was a 2wd 8540. All were open station. I sat on one of the 95's but did not drive it. I liked the layout of the controls with the exception of the 3-point position control. It is side-by-side with the draft control to the right of the seat. It is very close to the fender and I feel it should be closer to the seat (where the draft control lever is). My hand actually rubbed the fender when my hand was on the lever.
The 3-point now has external lift cylinders similar to the Grand L series.
All in all I was impressed and I think they will do well.

Anyone else see them yet???

I noticed you own a L5030GST. How do you like it? I am in the market for a bigger tractor and am looking at the L5030GST or the new m5040. I currently own a L3710 hydro.

I love my L5030. Good power and handling. For my needs the GST is a great fit. I use it for dirt work, gardening, and mowing (rotary cutter). I do not have a front-end loader but some folks claim the HST is better suited for FEL work. Several other people on this board own 5030's and I don't recall any of them complaining about either transmission. I don't think you would be disappointed with either /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Interersting. My dealer has a M7040, but said Kubota told him delivery of the 8540 and the 9540 were held up due to a problem.

I would like to know what the problems are because they are bascily the same tractor just a bigger engine.

My dealer said he asked the Kubota rep in Lodi CA but they would not say. He said it could be anything from a hood hinge to an engine problem.

We've gotten 13 of the M9540s and M8540s but nothing in the M5040, M6040 or M7040 models yet. We are anxious to get the other models in and also some cabs would be nice.

My wife and I drove the M9540 this weekend in Blount County Alabama and it performed like nothing else we have tested like the green ones. It was absence a cab and loader but we know they are out there at shows across the Southeast. The turning radius was much shorter like 50 degrees compared to the M9000. We were quoted $28,600 for Rops bare. More to come soon I'm sure. Interest rates dropped today better get one soon.
