New M59 finally arrived!

I'm pretty tall - 6'5. So I'm used to my knees not fitting.

Hydraulic phd is mcmillen x975.

Toggle just looks like a toggle. Key thing is the wiring, messick's would be the one to ask about it.

The foot stand I am referring to and i'm not sure that you would call it that anyway, is the metal plate that is on two hinges and lifts up so you can have access to the backhoe pins. You either have to take it off or keep holding it up. Is your 4n1 for the m59 or b 3030? Do you like the grapple?

ah, gotcha on the footstand. Does it come off easy? Or is it bungee time? I keep a couple of bungees wrapped around the ROPS for randmom things like this.

4n1 is 74" - for the m59. Its a nice combo. Grapple I bought for the b3030 and like it, though I haven't used it on the m59 yet.

On the 3rd function for the front remote, does that come wih a rocker switch or button on the joy stick to open and close a grapple?

Its a double button on the side of the joystick - one button under the other if that makes sense. I also had messicks rig an alternative control method for me which is a left/right toggle on the dash to control the preseeder, but the double button setup works nicely.

Since its electric over hydraulic, unlike the rear remotes I was using to do the same thing on the 3030, its tough to feather the buttons. Not a big deal, just means I end up slamming the grapple or 4n1 shut sometimes instead of feathering it. Doesn't affect the PHD.

I have found that the hydraulic speed on the m59 is very sensitive to engine RPMS

I'm think of starting a new m59 review/conversation thread where people who own them can discuss what we like, dislike, what we've modified etc - I think it would be useful for people who were thinking of buying one, just like the great box blade etc. threads out there. What do you think?

To add to the above, since I'm not sure I was clear, the 2 buttons kind of act like a rocker switch - thinking of it as a rocker switch with a button shape is probably the best way to go.

Thanks, I think a new thread would be beneficial. I am getting ready to order the 6 ft anbo grapple rake standard duty. I have the rear remote, but did not get the front.

I operate mine in some very rugged and unforgiving back country. Nearest town is 100 miles away and no cels. Dependability is job number one.

So far, I sure like mine. It's a tough little critter.

I know you have to enjoy that unit. I wish I had never seen one, As now my wife keeps telling me I have M59 on the brain.. LOL
If the heart surgery goes well next week. I will keep working toward one of my own. Hope they come out with a cab, As the heat is a killer to us with heart problems. And then using one as a tractor also. Just adds to it . The dust and stuff from bushhoging. And dust from cutting ground up.
