Blueberries are a big crop where we used to live in South Haven, MI; my sons picked berries with a machine as a summer job. At the You pick places the tourists lined up to pick the berries and were paying the same price as the market so the orchard owner was getting top dollar, having them picked for free and cutting out the middle man. :thumbsup:
They set up a couple port potties, a few picnic table and an air conditioned trailer as the cashier stand. They roped off the rows they wanted picked and planted different varieties so they would not all ripen at the same time.
