New Member Intro & Question

Greetings:

I've been looking at this site for a couple of years & just now signed on. I have a JD 820 & a Mahindra 4110.

I'm changing filters and fluids on the 820. When it comes to the air filter it's a wet filter, (Oil in the base) how is the filter cleaned? It doesn't seem to be replacable, just a wire mesh. Is gas, fuel or a cleaning fluid acceptable??

Welcome to TBN... You might want to ask the question over in the John Deere Section... they will move this thread over there but it may take a day or so... I assume you don't have a manual? If you did I'm sure it's covered in there.

Don't worry about... it happens, I was just letting you know that the New Member section just doesn't get a bunch of traffic... I didn't want you to get disappointed if you didn't get many responses.

Little hint, make sure the Title of the post has the tractor model number, I'll read every thread with my model number listed, and think others do too.

Welcome to TBN from Missouri.

Sorry I can't help on the filter as I am not familiar with that model. Some filters can be cleaned with soap and water while others need something like parts cleaner.
