Is the OP considering a Kioti CK25 or a Kioti 2510?

I pictured a true CK25 in my mind.

I did look at the CK25. It is to small for what i want to do...plus it is not that 'wide' considering i am in hilly, sloping ground. I got a quote for 17,400 on the CK27 with a loader. Going to go look at it on monday.

I have the bobcat version of the CK 27. Pretty much the same tractor with one less horsepower and bobcat makes their own loader for it. It is a fantastic tractor. I have had many tractors over the years and this is by far my absolute favorite. I have the r4 tires. This is the first tractor I have ever had with this type of tire all others were agg tires.

The r4 are the best for me they hook up very well and spread out the load on the lawn without leaving marks unless it's extremely wet. I have not had any problems in snow with them. Ice is another story but then again it was with the aggs as well. The heavyweight of this tractor along with its ease-of-use has been a pleasure to operate. I run a 5' Bush hog and a 5 foot tiller with no power problems at all.

A CK25 (not a CK2510) is the same size as a CK27, same as a CK30 or CK35. The CK2510 is a different beast altogether. It is the old CK20 fitted with more HP, basically. And it is smaller in dimensions. The CK2510, being smaller, costs less too. So, make sure you are talking apples to apples on pricing.

On hard rocky surfaces, R4's are very good. In the mud, they are terrible. As said before, my experience in snow (and mine are loaded) is that R4's are terrible here too. I think it's because they load up easy and are not self-cleaning. In dry snows that don't stick, they might be OK. We get both kinds of snows. I can't recall what the snow was like the few times I tried it. I don't even try it anymore. I just use my JD X739. That tractor is a beast in the snow, at least up to it's ground clearance limits, which is like 8". It has HDAP tires. I wish they made those for bigger tractors. I guess they can't' handle the weight or something.

What are HDAP tires?

Did you make the big decision? Kioti is on my radar. Mine is NH TZ25DA, HST, 25hp subcompact, Woods FEL & BH., Land Pride back blade, NH 5'mower. The compromise is mainly speed, it is small, manoevering needs to be 'efficient'. The 12" B.H. bucket has it's limitations, I've taken out a fresh 18' spruce root base with it... my sawzall, hatchet, shovel and back all got a really good workout. The 48" FEL bucket is small but is well matched for the weight of gravel or sand. I trailer it 50 miles home to camp with a Caravan. If I had a strong hauler I would have 30-35 h.p.

I think i found my tractor. Went out this morning to test drive the Kioti CK27 HST. Really liked the tractor. Very good workmanship, controls comfortable, nice heavy machine. Kioti has quit making the 27hp so they are hard to find as the supply has dwindled. Kioti still makes the CK30 and 35 which is same tractor just different engine, so parts will not be an issue. A new one cost $17,400 plus $3800 for FEL. After much searching i found a used CK27 HST !! 2 yrs. old with only 190 hrs and 2 yrs. of warranty left. Cost is 13,500 !! Excellent condition. Found it at Little Tractor in Metroplis,IL. So come tomorrow morning i will call the salesman and confirm they still have it.
