New member yanmar 1500D tractor with pto problem

We live in central Alabama and have owned a grey market Yanmar 1500D for over ten years. We use tractor for bushogging, drag box for driveway or leveling on any area. also loader for what ever needs moving.

last year it wouldnt hold a charge and we tried having the alternator rebuild but local man didn't have parts for it - we continued to use by jumping it off. Found Fredericks Tranctor this year and took alternator to them (to get rebuilt alternator took old one for core charge) they tested and alternator was good. We bought the regulator and came home.

tractor is running fine except PTO wont disengage. it is a live pto. anyone have any ideas?? we've used it a couple of times but will using with this problem create greater damage??
