From one 1700 to another-Welcome aboard tgrammar,
my 1700 came with the style that has the stick type,
You mentioned about checking the hyraulic fluid, so I attached a photo of it as well,
with having so many variables between just the 1700's alone it can become confusing, I had always thought the 1700 and 2000 had the same engine and transmission, although I'm begining to question even this now,
I think sometime along the life of our Yanmars people may change parts using what ever is available and will work,
( guilty as charged ) I couldnt be 100% sure that the dipsticks on my tractor are original, But do know they came on the tractor when I got it,
