Tractor
Ford 601
My name is David Smith and I am a retired Air Force NCO. After I retired from the military; I worked in property management for twenty some years. I was finally medically retired from a job as the director of maintenance for a military housing project. I moved to Deming NM where I bought two acres of real desert land. I bought a 62 Ford 601 that was in pretty good condition with a box blade on the back. It done a good job except for levelling close to fence lines. So I decided to buy a front end loader witch I am in the process of connecting to my tractor. This I am finding is a big challenge in its own. I can weld and have made brackets to connect the loader frame to the front end of the tractor. I was lucky the rear brackets matched up with no problems. But I am hearing it is not a good idea to put a front end loader on a tractor with no power steering or front wheel drive. I would appreciate any feed back on this matter.

Welcome to TBN!!! About the loader...With your set up, it will probably not be the ideal setup, but I don't think it will be a safety issue...
