Tractor
john deere gt235
Hello everyone.
I am a new member and am looking forward to being a member.
I am the proud owner of a John Deere GT 235 tractor.
I have had this tractor for over 10 years.
It just recently started having an issue with surging.
I am hoping someone on here can give me some ideas.
Thanks
Glen

welcome
it may be a sticky slider in your injector pump. Drain the oil from it and check the oil for metal shaveings and gummy thick residue, look at the plug and see if there is a build up of sludge on it. If so you can fill up the injector pump with diesel and run it for a few minites then drain again and refill with clean good quality motor oil. If the oil and plug are clean refill with new oil and try again.
A note of caution if your tractor is "surgeing" and will not turn off after the engene stop has been activated cover your air intake, turn off your fuel cock under the tank, do whatever you may have to do to stop the engene as soon as possible. You may have to remove your air intake hose to choke your engene. BUT if in doubt call a mechanic the money you pay may save your engene.

I recently became a member and own a Kubota B2920. Still learning a lot with it and am working a 68 acre farm in NE Iowa. Primarily a hunting area and will specialize in food plot management. I will enjoy the forums, I know.
