My name is Barry Benoit. I live in Lafayette, La. Recently aquired a 1979 IH 284 gasoline tractor and not sure if I made a wise choice purchasing this tractor or not. Too many unanswered questions and limited info and resourses as it relates to this equipment. Every site I've been on wants $$$$ just to answer questions. I am a factory rep for a major paint corporation and I answer questions and give advise every day of the week. What's up with that?

Welcome to TBN, and I will guarantee that you will get all the free advice you can stand if you ask a question here! Some of it might be conflicting but it will be free. Also use the search function up at the top and you can usually read for hours on any subject. We get a little rowdy at times but there are a bunch of good fellas on here, and most are usually willing to help a guy out.. So take care, pull up a chair and enjoy.
