Tractor
Agco Allis
I recently purchased an Agco Allis Tractor. I have about 20 acres of land and three gravel driveways to maintain. I will also clear snow in the wintertime. I am home here in the Heartland and am looking forward to reading about using my tractor. One problem i am having already is the hooking up the box blade, the grader blade and soon (I hope) a mower. When i was young, I could just muscle things to where they need to be but now not so much.

Welcome to TBN!!!

Implements with no wheels (and some with wheels) can be a real PITA to hook up. Mostly, it's a matter of grunt work (using some kind of lever), sweat and some profane language.
One way to get around this is buying a quick hitch (but not all implements fit a quick hitch) or the Pat's Easy Change (a bit more work then the quick hitch, but requires no implement modification).
I've had both...if you're OK with the implement modification...it's more joy. If you don't have the tools or skills, go with the Pat's system.

Welcome to the wonderful world of TBN. In total agreement with what Roy said. Even without any modifications, you will find it easier to do the more you try by hooking one side and going forward or back to move the other arm into position or making an extension from pipe or something else to reach the 3PH lever from the back. I have a hydraulic top link which also helps. I aslo have a heavy rubber mallet to "help" things along.

One thing that will help is how you remove the equipment by placing it on a solid footing and maybe even look to fabricating a dolly if possible to allow the equipment to be moved around to line up. Muscling something that has sat in the dirt for a while is pretty darned hard.
