Greetings to all. I just replaced an 8 year old Craftsman garden tractor with a Kubota 2370 which will allow me to do many more things around the acreage. On the first outing I used the front end loader to remove four large and irritating rocks and uproot a stump. I only wish I'd bought one sooner!

Consider a Piranha Tooth Bar as your first attachment. You do not want to make a habit with prying with one corner of your bucket. Attempt to keep the work load towards the center rather than ends.

Buy something heavy to carry mounted on the Three Point Hitch as a counter-balance to the FEL.

(Three Point counterbalance BEHIND the rear axle will also relieve stress on the front axle.)

You do not want to be carrying heavy rock load in the FEL, with the back end light, then have the FEL load shift, rolling the tractor over. Keep the loaded FEL LOW.

Thanks everyone. It comes with a ballast box, but I have a 40" rotary cutter on the back that the delivery guy said adds sufficient weight - he said to put the ballast box on if I am going to be operating the FEL without the rotary cutter in place.

Rotary Cutter is effective ballast because it is cantilevered, good advice.

Thanks Jeff for the great advice. This is going to be a learning experience for me, and keeping myself safe while taking good care of what is obviously a fine piece of equipment are my key goals.
