Ahem....Paul, can you take a closer look at that packing slip, I'm sure the delivery address was my place not yours.....the invoice to address being yours is still correct......

Absolutely awesome mill. Love the DRO. Does is have drive servos so you can connect your computer up to it and do CAM/CAD?

And an Ironworker coming.....you must have won the lottery. Congrats!!!

I now have not only mill evy but ironworker envy. I really like to see someone with you skill set and willingness to share advise and techniques get the kind of equipment you have now!!!

However, you realize that with these latest additions we now expect a plethora of projects complete with pictures to be churning out of The Rock just to keep us entertained and continue our envy......:licking::thumbsup:

Looking forward to more pictures of the arrival of the ironworker!!

Glenn.

 Glenn it had your address on the slip but I never had the heart to let it go so I kept it :D

Wish I had won the lottery but haven't yet. This year we upgraded allot of our welding equipment and we've been doing more and more fabrication and welding than ever before so in order to give our customers the best possible service we decided on adding a new milling machine and the Ironworker to help put out as good as product as we possibly can.

I'm not sure when I'll be doing some personal projects again. The next one will most likely be a Hot Rod build. The only thing that's holding me back is lack of space but that could change.

I'll be sure to post a few pics of the Ironworker when it arrives. Always great hearing from you sir and thanks for the post. Enjoyed it. Paul

Congradulations on your new additions. I just acquired another millingmachine, but it isn't new. It came from an AT&T R&D lab in the northeast. My boss bought it, sold the shop, and the new owner went under. I bought the mill from the auction. 1989 'Maho 600C is the model of it and it has very little wear. I just have to make room and buy a bigger phase converter. David from jax

Machining tools are a great addition to any shop. I've had my old lathe for 25 years now and would know how to do with out it. You've got some nice machinery there. Post a few pics when you can. I'm sure we would all enjoy seeing it and drooling over them :D DRO's are nice and I may go CNC later this year as well. It all depends on the type of work that comes in.

You just know we all would love to see a few pics :) Sounds like you've done good getting the newly acquired milling machine.

I've been buying tooling for the new mill most of the spring and into the summer and I had to even get a dedicated tool box for the tooling. By the time It's all said and done I will have close to the cost of the mill gone into tooling :( I installed an I beam over the mill so i could lift the 12" rotary table up to the bed of the mill. That thing weighs in at almost 180 lbs so there's some gearing up to putting a mil into a shop. Thanks for your comments.

Cyril you could be right about an extension but it's working well as it is now so far. Last night I put a collet holder on the mill and got another one to install later on this week. There's no end to it buddy. Hope all is well on your end

Well...the rain finally ended. I did some mowing on Saturday and broke my mower when I finished.:( As I folded up the boom, I pulled it in and smacked the motor valve with the mower head. Now it doesn't want to run the mower. I'll have to pull the valve apart and see what happened. No visable damage, but no workey.

Yesterday, we had a bonfire all day and just messed around. Good to take a day off, but cutting and burning for 12 hours is still tiring.

Hey Paul,
What do you do for organizing your combonation wrenches and sockets? I have enough that it seems like I have to dig forever through the drawers to find what I need. There has to be a decent way to organize them.

Oh, also I picked up a 1 year old gas furnace for the shop for free last week. Maybe I'll have heat in the shop this winter. I'll have to get a propane tank and have the furnace rejetted for propane, but I at least have something to start with now.

Gees Cyril that's to ad about the mower. You'll have to keep us informed on what was wrong with it .As for organizing my tool box. We''ll I've got to take a few hours and put everything back in it's place but it's not to bad but I am showing you the best parts here now ;)

The custom bug screen and mirror mounts look great and I am assuming, easily removeable. quite a nice addition. If we look closer would we find a restoration or a resto-rod?
