Was looking at those at TS, and reading the warranty. Not much there. If the warranty honored add up to half the tractor cost within the warranty period, then the warranty is over. After mounting up onto one, and finding out about the absolutely horrible ergonomics of the machines, (of couse there will be a huge backlash from that statement), I agree entirely with Kiohio, why not just go a bit more $$$$, and buy a machine with a real warranty, and real dealer support. Many things I didn't like, like cable controls that don't pull straight, etc. For a few $K more, you can have a nice NH, Kioti, Case, Deere...... If one was almost given to me, I wouldn't turn it down, but to shell out $15K, with tax for such a low rung machine is ludicrous. All I seem to read on the chinese board is major problem, after major problem. I bought my machine to work it, not it work me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now comes the "that's where the Japanese machines started" statements. Need I remind you who was kicking who's but before we entered WWII. The Japanese were all over China, not the reverse. Of course the chinese will catch up, but after reading about the fellow with the chinese tractor that busted in half after dropping his FEL bucket, with a load in it. This just puts MORE pressure on your local dealers, WHATEVER color they are.

I agree. I think you'll end up with clearly identifiable market segments for "premium, commercial-duty machines" and "consumer/homeowner machines" similar to what's happened for lawn and garden tractors.

Perhaps, but another way to look at it would be a clear market segment of pure ag/hobby farm/residential owners.

I see the big farms around here going to "large" residential "hobby farm" ownership.

You'll note this "lot size" question on most buying factors.

The box stores are aiming for this hooby farm/residential market. Or consumer/homeowner as you said.

Just more choice and pressure on the local dealers to compete.

You'll note this "lot size" question on most buying factors.

The box stores are aiming for this hooby farm/residential market. Or consumer/homeowner as you said.

Just more choice and pressure on the local dealers to compete.
