Just took delivery of our 2017 Husqvarna (limited distribution) GT48DXLS with the triple bagging system. Got it off loaded from the trailer, and started mowing​. Definitely didn't need full throttle at all, but glad to have the extra power. So far the only issue that I can see right now is the seat, that thing is sloppy, I can tell that this will be the first thing that fails.... Overall I am happy with the purchase (even though I ended up spending twice the amount that I was originally planning on spending), In the end I think it's a better deal than the Cub Cadet X2 52", Craftsman Pro, or the John Deere we were looking at.

- The seat adjustment does indeed stink. When going downhill, it sometimes pops out and the seat slides forward. Yes, I have been intimate with the steering column

- Run it full throttle - it is designed to mow best that way. Airflow, discharge, sucking the grass so it stands tall. From the manual:

TO USE THROTTLE CONTROL (D) (See Fig. 6)
Always operate engine at full speed (fast).
Operating engine at less than full speed (fast) reduces
the engine's operating efficiency.
Full speed (fast) of fers the best mower performance.​

PS. - My wife showed me that in the manual. SO I get to keep my mancard.

I know and have read about the seats going forward when not wanting them too, but what I am taking about is the side to side sloppy movement. I double checked the attachment bolts and they are tight. Will have to look into it more next week. This was a HUGE upgrade from the hand-me-down John Deere L130 that my dad gave me after he got his YT42LS two years ago.

The seat on ours is a bit tight, and takes some grunt to move it. Ours also replaced a JD L130, which came with our house. World of difference.

I just had the dealer remove the arm rests so I could use the Husqvarna cover on my new GT48DXLS. I've been mowing more than 45 yrs without arm rests. The cover feels comfortable and looks great plus it has a nice, tight fit.

Toying with ordering one of these from my local dealer. Does it have the SmartSwitch system or LED headlights? I'd like the latter, but I'm a little hesitant to try the former.

That's great to hear! Does it have the standard headlights or the newer LED?

New member and first post. I was linked to this thread topic from AR15.com as we have been looking for something heavier duty for our acreage, as well as our lawn, than the John Deere LA115 we currently use at both places. Thanks to TBN I've looked at the dealers GT48DXLS many times and asked a lot of questions as well...to the point that he asked how I became so knowledgeable on a new mower that is a limited production model? I think we are going to go ahead and purchase one of these GT's as Husqvarna has a $150 off sale going on now until the 16th(?) of June on this size of mower and $100 off the smaller models.

I asked the dealer about the headlights and he said that replacement LED headlight bulbs are available for this model. Considering my current mower has no headlights that work anything will be an improvement.
