When I bought mine, they asked if I planned on using a hoe in the future. The reason being, there are two dif mounts for the woods 1009. Back in 04 it was about 150$ difference for the longer one that you would need for the hoe mounting. Its a couple pieces of pipe mounted crossways into some 1/2? inch steel plates that bolt to the cast iron basicly under the floor pans. Had I been designing I would have added more length and brought it on up to the hard mounts in the frame over the front axel pivot...but then I over think everything. Thing is I use the loader like it's indestructable. (the wife has been known to use some inertia to knock those pesky stumps out) No problems with cast has shown up to date. (I did have to re-weld the front corner of the bucket once or twice) If you are using the loader for "normal" fel work you should be fine.
