Dan,

I'm in Wiscconsin. The TC45D with R4 tires, 16la loader w/HD bucket, HST, and deluxe seat was $23K - no SuperSteer. The Woods 7' box scraper/scarified list $960 my cost was $685.00. The L3710 w/LA681 loader, HST, and dinky AG tires, that I would upgraded to R4's, was $1950.00. The way I see it - it cost me less than $2,500.00 to get the TC45D.

The $1950.00 is suppose to be $19,500.00.

Dan,

Even though its not a TC45D thought you might like to know as a reference what I paid for a TC40D w/supersteer and 17LA, $23,082. I believe the dealer told me that a TC45D w/supersteer was in the neighborhood of an additional $1250.

Thanks for the info.

I'm just starting to go down the road of pricing so this really helps. I've visited two JD dealers and have one more to visit. My next stop is to see a New Holland dealer. So I can start comparing features. It seems like the only stick the customer has in the tractor buying game is playing the brands off each other. We sure as heck don't have list prices to compare... 8-(

I need to go back to the JD dealer and price out a 4600 for comparisons but here is what I'm getting for a JD 5105.

JD5105 MFWD, SyncReverse tranny, Dual SCV, Third SCV, Folding ROPS 21,050.

The second dealer, The same tractor minus the third SCV and folding ROPs, but with telescoping links, 20,354.

www.jdlawns.com gives me 19,755 and 19,515 respectively.

A 521 FEL was priced at 3,406. A 521 with 4n1 bucket was 5,000. The plain 521 FEL was a bit cheaper from the dealer compared to jdlawns.

So it looks like the prices are fairly similar between JD and New Holland.

A JD 4600 with PowerReverse, dual/third SCV, and folding ROPS was 20,000. jdlawns pricing on the same tractor was 19,800.

The 4600 is a closer comparison between the TC45D so it looks like the price is almost identical.

Interesting!

Thanks for the info!

Dan,

I was pretty sure I got a square deal! I hope, betting, the NH line commands the same high price on the used market as the Kubota's do. I wound up buying new for this reason.

How long have you had your 40D, and is it making you happy?
I won't have mine for another week cause dealer had to replace turf tires with R4's and get the loader shipped to him.
