New pallet mover / carry all

I was planning on building one of these until I discovered there was really no $ savings. This is a kk pallet mover from my local TSC store. My observations so far:
-Very heavy duty, stronger than a carry all.
-Will carry more weight than bucket forks because of the stronger 3ph.
-Paint job was poor, I primmed the bare spots and painted it Kubota rops gray.
-Built a custom made "pallet" for it that can slide on and off.

Here's one with my home made pallet. I used PT 2x's and 3" deck screws.

I was looking at some implements today, why do we have to repaint this stuff? everything was already rusting....

The pallet mover was $200. 1 can of rops gray paint $8. I guess thats how kk keeps costs down (bad paint job). I'd rather they would just put on a coat of primer and let the cust paint the implement. I get the implement asap when it arrives at TSC so it dosen't have a chance to rust (much). I will also be painting my new kk rotary cutter. I'll be using a cheaper paint though.

That's a good price for what you get. I know what you mean about the paint - I have the KK back blade and it was the same.

The Woods PHD that I bought with my BX-22 has a trashy paint job, too...and more than one color is involved! I'm thinking that I'll use the left-over lavender Rustoleum that I used to refinish what was my grandmother's metal outdoor furniture to spruce up the PHD one of these days... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
