After I buckle up, I throw the slack between my legs and it somehow manages to stay there all the time. But really, since I'm the biggest person to use the tractor, I should just trim a foot off of it and be done with it.
The real problem isn't when it is buckled, anyway. It is if you forget to put it on and then drive forward. The left rear tire runs over it and then tries to drive up to the driver's seat, which, of course, can't happen, so it pulls the driver's seat down to the left and then spins on the belt for a while.
