Pictures look great.....thank-you. Looks like a real slick machine. Does the cab have a headliner? Did your dealer indicate to you if the rear ultility remotes are an option? I see what looks like plastic hydraulic valve covers in the back, are they for the dump or are the remotes? Also, I see what looks like an antenae on the upper right backside of the cab, is that standard or something you added? Now that you have had the machine a few days what is your impression? Toy1, you have got to be the only person in the country that has one, Kubota doesn't even have any information on the rtv1100 on thier website.

Mikey,

That is a very nice machine. Do you know if Kubota has now gone to a true four wheel drive system, or do they still have an open front differential? I have a Gator, and am happy with it, but I like nice equipment and would have (might still) seriously consider a Kubota for my father if they now offer an improved four wheel drive system. Thanks.

Carl,

I am sorry. I should have addressed the above post to you, not to Mikey. Sorry Mikey, sorry Carl for the confusion.

The nonlocking front differential is a problem with the RTV. Kubota certainly doesn't state there is a locking front differential on the new machine and my assumption is that it doesn't but I have no facts. My guess is the drivetrain is nearly identical to the 900. Locking front differential is almost universal in ATV world and very common on most UTV's. (RTV and Kaw Mule the only exceptions in 4x4 UTV's?) The locking front is frequently the difference between go and no go in mud, climbing etc. Potentially 25% or more traction with locking front differential.

That may be good news for some people, since the RTV and Kaw Mule are so out of date and useless, the sales will plummet and the price will also plummet and those of us that really would like to have one will then be able to afford to buy one.:D

Well on am back on line we had a lighting storm come thru on Saturday and it took out the cable, Phone. Well we now have 10 hours on the machine and it is still going strong. I have not noticed any problems yet. i would say the only issue is when we have to close the door the cab is so air tight that it is difficult to close, if you open the window the door closes fine. The cab does have a head liner and dome light which you must switch on and off. I still do not see how the VHT pressure release works nor had I needed to use it? I think that the thing that impresses me the most is how solid the cab is it is so quite compared to the 900. I have taken it down some of the trails and it is rock solid. However I am not nocking the 900 it is a very good utility vehicle. The rear remotes are for the dump. The antenna came with the RTV and a bracket to hook up a radio in the dash. However I do not see where the speakers would go? The drive train is the same as the 900 only locking of the rear drive. The 1100 has a manual throttle "speed control" located next to dump lift lever.
Because the machine is so new everthing is tight and needs to wear in I will keep you posted. It looks like the Machine was built on May 7 2007 and it is # 18 based on the seial #.
