new RTV 1100 is in

Just so everyone knows I committed to the RTV 1100 last Aug. So while I was not in a hurry for the unit because we had the 900 to work with. Tomorrow Morning they are delivering number two. I will post some new pictures of the twins over the next few days. I can tell you that the wait is worth it you will be impressed by the rigitity of the machine. I am going to buy two Radios over the next week and install them. I think we have 18 hours on number 1 so far.

I'm happy for Toy1 and hope he gets a ton of use and enjoyment out of his RTV1100's. I'm just peeved that I know they are out there and yet no delivery date in sight. Thankfully, Toy1 has been kind enough to post some pictures which has helped with the wait.

That may be good news for some people, since the RTV and Kaw Mule are so out of date and useless, the sales will plummet and the price will also plummet and those of us that really would like to have one will then be able to afford to buy one.

Dont' know how milkman can assert the RTV is "out of date and useless" when all others are still using the "rubber band" snowmobile type drive system. Of course it all depends on the intended use, but this is a forum primarily for folks that wish a work or hunting machine, not a sport RTV/UTV. In my opinon the engineering on the Kubota is outstanding. Yes, agreed, quality does not come cheap.

I think it was a joke... He wanted the prices to drop since they weren't the "best" so he could actually buy one.

Check the quote that I referenced where THEY indicating RTV and Mule are only two not using locking front differential sort of indicating they are out of date, and that one feature leaves them useless in the mud.

No doubt it would be helpful, but given about a 40% weight advantage I can't imagine that an RTV with 3-wheels pulling could not generate more forward traction than lesser machine with all 4 locked in.

I agree with you with the traction on dry ground of the RTV is probably better given the heavier weight of the RTV. The problem is on hills and mud, the weight works against the machine and lack of true locking 4x4 becomes apparent and even more needed to overcome the weight.

Those are some pretty neat looking machines. If I had the money to buy another UTV I think I would go for the RTV1100. I love my gator and having everything open and would hate to give that up. But on the really hot days like we seem to be having now I wouldn't mind hopping into a nice cab with A/C.

What do you plan on doing with the twins, work or recreation ?

I personally just own one RTV 900 that I purchased in Feb, 07. I have to do work & hunt out of the same
one, but, bet it is a blessing to own two. Hunt with one, work with the
other ~~~~ Didn't even know that they were coming out with the 1100 series unit. Fixin' to see if I can swing around and purchase one of those new 1100's., Then I could hunt out of the 1100, & work out of the 900. I am going to have to throw this idea to my wife !!!!
