New Servers Installed

Today we made a successful transition to our new dual-server setup. So far the site is running smoothly, and it seems to be a bit quicker than before.

Don't think it would have helped much over the last week while I was in Louisville....I had to use a free ISP. Every 3 minutes a new ad popped up and if you didn't click on one occasionally, they'd disconnect you... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I restarted the SQL server briefly to attempt to clear some lingering problems up.

Later today there might be a few more jumps like that, but all in all, this is a huge step forward. The problem in the occasional (and it is occasional) slowdown has to do with the search, again, so I'm looking into that, again.

i use dial up connection. but have been checking the site and posting for some time before i made a comment on speed of ne server.appears to be much quicker for me at least , made 3 or 4 post no problem then on the last post i tried got the same as one of the other posters didin /home/tractorb/htdocs/forums/addpost.php on line 869

We're still working out a few kinks in the system. So right now you may get times when it takes 8-20 seconds... but when I stop messing with it, this won't happen as often.
