Here's some pictures, one of when they were pouring and two from today.

It's been a cold day with freezing rain on and off and supposed to warm up further above freezing tomorrow so I'll do the saw cuts tomorrow...

It's different walking higher after all this time! If the weather holds out I'll work on getting the doors up this weekend or at least get a start on that.

How is the finish on the concrete?

Maybe the pictures or the lighting isnt doing it justice?

Yeah, the cellphone doesn't take great pictures... Right now it's kinda dirty from cleaning up the control joint cuts... I'll see about getting some tomorrow after work, there should be less daylight glare after dark :)

The finish is going to be good for my uses, they called it "fuzzy" I think, two rounds with hand trowel. It's not bad really, I put too much "stuff" in the floor to do a power trowel most likely.

It's still green and dark which I'm thinking makes it look uneven, it's getting better. I'm beat from cleaning up the cuts yesterday, I think I went overboard on some parts of cleanup and should have rinsed twice...

"fuzzy" doesn't sound like a fun floor to work off of and keepnswept

I’m not sure what fuzzy means either. I’m use to nice smooth concrete finish, except for a broom finish on a outdoor approach or step

There's all sorts of odd terms in the construction trade... none of them make any sense to me...

It's smooth, but not glass smooth, I told them I don't want to slip and fall but I want it smooth for creepers and stuff, it'll be good...

I always cringe when the owner wants smooth and the spec calls for macrofibre.

I have never seen or heard of the receivers you have in your floor and I had to lookup "chain pot" as well. What do you use the receivers for? I could have used one in the last concrete I had poured, so I'm taking that idea for the next concrete pour. I need a post to hold a metal bender so I'm going to try one out in the driveway when it is poured. Is there a minimum distance from the edge of the slab that needs to be met?

What is a chain pot

What is a chain pot

Used by body shops to chain vehicles to the floor so they can be pulled into shape after an accident. Every shop should have them if you ever want to do structural repairs to almost anything.
