new snowblower question

Since I live in northern michigan I am beginning to think about snow removal again. Last year I used the FEL and Back blade to clear my driveway. This fall, I am purchasing a front mount blower. I was quoted a price of $2,195 for the blower as I purchased the 4 way valve with my bx2230. There is one question I am still confused by. With the 4 way valve, will the new blower have all hydraulic controls from the joystick, such as the chute direction, along with the up and down of the blower itself. My dealers say this price "includes everything", but I'm not so sure.

Best answered by the dealer, but one would think that the chute direction would be one 'control' and the lift/lower would be the other 'control'.

No need for more than 2 controls. You should find that out for sure, before getting any surprises. But 'everything' per your dealer comment, if in writing, should include chute direction. Otherwise, what fun will it be sitting there enjoying just the up/down control.

Chute rotation is done by a crank that goes from the snow blower to the FEL control valve. You crank it clockwise or counter clockwise to change direction. The chute deflector hood is a manual adjustment that you get off the tractor to do. Kubota does make both of these controls available in electric, but the price will make you shutter.... So the big rank to get the 4 way valve from the git-go was only for the FEL control?? I guess I thought this type of valve would do more for me when I bought the snowblower. Oh well, I still love my tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
