Your dealer is mistaken, he needs to call Pronovost to get "Good Copies" of the manual I sent to you.
The pictures are lousy but the exploded diagrams and parts numbers are very easy to read and examine.

The Pronovost snow blower group manual that I uploaded to TBN and sent to you via e-mail
is the resource you need Bob.

Every model they make except for the motorised snow caster for rubber tired backhoes and front end loaders is in that complete manual.

Hello Bob,

You need to call your dealer and ask them if the cushion valve was adjusted and set at the factory.
If he cannot tell you it was pre-set at the factory you must assume the directions on the valve must be followed to set the cushion valve pressure using a flow meter or the test gauge port on the cushion valve body itself

The thing is if the cushion valve was not adjusted you could break the gear tooth flange that rotates the chute and the impeller drum drive chain if it is not correctly adjusted with the hydraulic system at a hot oil operating temperature of 120-140 degrees.

If you have not done it already you should use some blue Loctite on the nuts and bolts especially for the hydraulic motors flange mounts unless they have used nylock nuts for everything.

Found the "bad pics" of the version of my discharge chute motor drive. Thanks. It does not have any install for the motor for the TRC chute though. I'll follow the same method as the discharge chute rotator. Either way, even with both manuals together it does not give a complete install for the parts that are not assembled at the factory. The parts breakdown (IPB) in the back of the manual I have is the same, with updated part numbers, as the one you posted.

Mounting the hydro motor for the TRC chute today. Quick note: It can only go in one way. Ill show you why.

The motor and the shaft for the auger drive live behind this cover



First thing to do is remove the adjuster plate and install the other adjuster nut. In this pic you'll notice I have the motor installed and the second adjuster nut is not on. Learning has occurred. Then you can bolt the motor to the adjuster plate.



The motor can only go on one way: with the hose fittings facing the left. If you orient them in any other way the securing bolts wont go in. More learning.

My tractor is back from service, while there I had them add 1 more remote to the rear. Shoulda had all three installed when I bought the tractor (more learning). The 800TRC needs 3 rear remotes: chute rotate, chute discharge elevation and the TRC rotate.

Later today Ill attempt to mount the snow blower and get the PTO shaft cut to the right length. Intention is to get the thing spinning under tractor power today. Ill get the hoses made up next week and get pics of the routing and hoses I use. Dealer suggests 3/8 hoses.

Does your TRC model have the hydraulic hose standoff post with the loop to hang the hoses??

If not I would invest in three hose protector sleeves or one large hose protector sleeve for number 20 hydraulic hose and add some length to allow you secure them using Loom Clamps if it does not have a hydraulic hose hanger loop.

The hose protector sleeve(s) reduce any friction damage to almost none and also help preserve the outer hose carcass which is ruined by sunlight and the ozone in the air over time just as it happens with tires.

Your hydraulic hose dealer should have the Hydraulic Hose Protector Sleeves and Loom Clamps in stock or you can buy them from Mcmaster Carr.

I went tractor shopping the other day and I just about choked when I saw the price jumps on the JD1025R's almost 16K plus sales tax and options

The Pronovost TRC snow casters have a hydraulic motor that rotates the impeller drum left or right bypassing the chute and spout to discharge heavy or light snows in open areas to the left or right at a very high rate of flow than when using the chute and spout that would clog with heavy wet snow or deep frozen snow pack.

I wish they were all like that as it would make the job of snow removal easier and less time consuming.

in my case I wish I had a single stage snow caster for my JD LA115 but they do not make them anymore.

Fallon, Once I get the hydro lines in place Ill post video of it working. Its really cool function and one of the main reasons I got a pronovost. Until I get mine working take a look at this vid. Kubota L574 Blowing Snow. Snowblower Pronovost P-8 TRC - YouTube. In the beginning he is chucking out of the TRC. which comes straight off the impeller and out of the drum as opposed to later (@ about 2:30 in the vid) you can see him switch to the chute. Here in Colorado I get snow that generally lands on relatively warm ground then it gets covered in the next couple of hours by a foot or so of lighter stuff. That bottom layer is wet and heavy and tends to just stick in a chute. The TRC drum has nearly no surface area for the wet snow to stick to since it goes out through the impeller housing. it also chucks snow way farther than a chute.
