Quick Hitches NEW Style QUICK HITCH Found on Craig's List

I have no doubt that the Delta Hook is superior in it's use than a QH. My hurdle is the cost. For what you paid for one implement plate you probably could have hired all your implements modified to fit QH.But then, I'm not familiar with the Delta Hook setup enough to quote costs. I'm CAT II. Please tell me how much it would cost me to buy the Delta setup for the tractor plus 4 implement plates??

3 Point Quick Hitch Delta Hook: Package Prices

Expensive? Yes, but foolproof and adaptable to QA compatible and non compatible implements.

Richard $2814 for 4 implements in CATII... yep that is a couple of bucks.. I bet I could make them myself for "a little less":D

Thanks for the price quote James.

Rick, again, I am not doubting the Delta Hook's abilities or ease of use. But the cost is ridiculous.

So $300 for a QH. That leaves me $2500 for modification to implements so the QH will fit...... Wow,,,, that's a lot of modification....

For that kind of money you should be able to just drive by the implement and it'll jump on as you go by. "Joke". :D

It almost seems the delta hook guys don't want to build very many of them... just make a few each year..make all the money on a few units. Don't have to work too hard that way.:D Cool idea, really bad price..

James,

It's Capitalism at it's finest!!!! Let the price be however high the market will bear!!!!

I'll go completely insane here and say I could produce that amount of product with a cost of $1000. Let me do the math...... Hmmmmm,,,, carry the 1,,,,, I think that works out to a 180% profit margin.

Then let me build enough of them to setup a jig and buy my materials at wholesale. Now my cost will be down in the $500 range. We're cookin now!!!! Looks like 230% profit margin now!!!

I don't think I could do that well selling drugs after paying off the cops, bodyguards, leasing a house to sell from, guns for protection...

I just emailed the makers of Jiffy Hitch. I will post back when I get the pricing info. I agree the Delta Hook system is sweet but to much $$ for what it is.

Jiffy Hitch replied today. It appears they are more costly then the Delta Hook (I asked them if there was packaging pricing like Delta Hook offers) and this is the reply.

"Yes Delta and Jiffy Hitches are similar yet quite different. Jiffy Hitches are made of square tubing for the male and formed channel for the female. If you watched the video on YouTube you saw that we have a double spring loaded locking system. Another difference is that our largest Cat 2 heavy duty male can pick up our smallest female which is a great advantage for those with larger tractors. We have been selling Jiffy Hitches since 1991.

I believe your tractor is about 25 hp and will take a Cat 1 Heavy Duty Jiffy Hitch Male $637. The Jiffy Hitch Females will be Cat 1 as well at $331 each. A set like on Delta Hook Cat 1 -1 Male/2 Females is $1299. That is a $179 difference but we believe that our quality and double locking system makes it worth it.
We also recommend a self-contained hydraulic top link at $374."

Well I believe I will just stick with the HF quick hitch and do some modifications to non-quick hitch compatible implements as I go. For that price I could adapt 2 or 3 of each implement and still be ahead. It's a nice idea but unless you have a large business or one of those huge farms out west with lots of employees it might not be worth it just sayin!
