Quick Hitches NEW Style QUICK HITCH Found on Craig's List

/ NEW Style QUICK HITCH Found on Craig's List #31
I think the Delta Hook's and the Jiffy Hitch's market is the commercial user and not what I consider to be the average TBNer. My $90 QH does all I can ask of it for my purposes, and most likely can't be improved on much as mine attaches a 400# rake, 725# mower and 710# ROBB, all having kick stands I have to manipulate after I attach or detach. So unless a new QH design can also handle the kick stands, I see no use for myself and most likely most TBNers.

Expensive, and I agree not aimed at the run-of-the-mill TBN member.

I only have one 3pt attachment right now, that I swap out with the subframe mounted backhoe. Ain't no quick hitch gonna help with that! ;)

Sure it will just get one and quickly hang it on the wall for future use! :D

Has anyone been able to get pricing on this quick hitch to compare with the Delta hook. From looking at both videos< I think I like this one better than the Delta hook.
That one is Pats Easy Change. A quality product. Its been around for years. Its only for the lift arms. Other than no auto top connection, it differs from the 3pt quick hitches in that it shifts the 3ph articulation point rearward about 4". This comparatvely lowers lift capacity and increases lift strain when hitting bumps etc.

At about the ten minute mark on the video you can see a 45 degree connector between the hydraulic reservoir and the top link cylinder. Most high pressure fittings that I've seen are machined out of solid bar stock. This one looks like the cast variety for low pressure applications. Maybe it's rated. Maybe it will never see high pressure no matter what you snag. Or maybe they're not designers. I'd check it before buying.

I just checked and the CL ad has been flagged for removal.

Quick hitches move the hitch point rearward as well with the same end result.

With the 3pt QHs the articulation point stays at the ball ends - thus at the std position. With Pats the arms are extended, and the top link to match. The articulation point is thus at the extended position. Altho the implement rides in the same place the hydraulics see a greater load with the Pats arrangement. Its because the 3PH is a form of "4 bar linkage" and the bars are longer with the Pats.

Yep. Same end result with the QH. Load is moved farther from tractor, lessening 3pt's capacity. Call it what you wish Larry, same effect.

Take a look at the 4 bar linkage. ... Used on triple beam lab scales, lift gates, some car front suspensions, etc. The idea is that the movement of the load is straight - w/o pivot therefore position of the load relative to the opposing force is not important and does not affect load capacity. 3PH systems make use of this type geometry but not perfectly dimensioned to eliminate all pivot.
