Just picked up a Subsoiler made by A&B Eagleline.
This thing is a real brute.
I did a test dig with my B3030, and it must have gone down 18" or so without any tweaking. (4WD, Turf tires)

Its a bit pricey: $270

I also got 15" middle buster point for it.. I'll report back someday after I do some work with it..

danbuf,

What will you be using it for?

Looks nice and heavy. It looks like your lower links are almost raised as high as they will go. How much higher can you raise it off the ground?

I plan on using it for a number of projects.. Drainage issues, waterline for garden. etc..
I hope to try ditching with the middle buster point.

As far as the height, I think this is about it.. (~4" off ground)
I just hooked and quickly tried though..Havent gotten back to it

You can reposition the shank by re-drilling the holes for brackets, to raise it, which would give more clearance.

It is built really well - 138# worth of steel..

I just bought a subsoiler too and on my Kioti the tip just barely clears the ground. Hasn't been a problem though.

How do you determine the attack angle of the tip? I made a mess out of one of my fields since the clay boulders were sprung up to the surface. That single shank needed low range and a good bit of power to pull it through. I bought the TSC model that is supposed to be a dedicated subsoiler but I can't see why a middle buster shovel won't bolt on. The angle of the tooth looks more horizontal on my yellow SS though.

I think I'll wait for the ground to moisten a bit. I bought the SS to fluff the compacted soil and improve drainage.

I have the TSC middle buster and the sub soiler blade that I purchased from TSC has a different bolt pattern but will work. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased a heavier duty dual purpose sub soiler/middle buster. I have a John Deere 2010 that is approximately 40 hp on a good day and I would like to do some heavier work than I feel comfortable with using the TSC version.

The combination MB SS units all seemed very light duty with weights less than half of even the TSC SS units. Availability was also an issue.

The KK subsoiler is about 6" longer a about 15lbs heaveir than the KK middlebuster.
