Why I bought a Defender with a full cab on it. When it's nice out there I can roll down the windows and open the windshield. When its nasty out there I close the windows. And turn on the heat if it is needed.
I hear you. Also why I have an RTV-X1100C.
But instead of having one all around machine like yours, I ended up with two machines for two different tasks.
I had no intention of buying the CF Moto, I was perfectly happy with my RTV for everything, but when I sold my newest dirt bike I decided I wanted a faster SxS.
Sad part is I only use the speed of the CF for when I have to connect trails by road or highway. On the trails I am usually only doing the 20 MPH the RTV can do, LOL
And I bought them both new for the price of ONE Can Am or Polaris here in Canada.

Same here. I bought my Defender to comfortably explore rough trails...trails that would beat me to death if I was in my Jeep Wrangler. Owner's manual for the Defender says to use Low Range if driving below 15 mph - and most of the rides I go on, I'm in Low Range most of the time. I'm not out there to race, to see how fast I can get from Point A to Point B. I'm out there to enjoy nature and take a lot of photos.

Same here but I can also close the windows and turn on the A/C.

Been reading the Defender forum posts for several years now. And it is clear that if you leave the driveline relatively stock, and don't use it as a submarine or airplane, they are really dependable. Seems a lot of folks, soon as they buy one, they are asking how to mount 35" (or taller) tires on it, which the machine was never engineered for. Then a short time later they are on there saying what a piece of junk it is because something in the suspension broke. Then there's those who post video of themselves jumping the machine, flying through the air. Or driving through muddy water so deep most of the dash is submerged.

Guess if you can afford to treat a $30,000 machine that way, why, have at it!
My friend just got tired of cooking in his new Polaris RZR1000 all summer, so he sold and just bought a new Defender with air conditioning. I won't get to try it until next spring though before he comes back up to visit.
He said it was just over 10 thousand cheaper than the new Polaris Expedition.

Well not big mileage to some, but hit a thousand miles on my CF Moto and problem free so far. Still love it. Only complaint so far is like all other side by sides, it does get warm in the cockpit on hot summer days in tight technical riding, but not nearly as hot as a Polaris.
Just got a windshield wiper kit for it I will be installing this week.

The wife and I were riding this weekend. It was about 50 on the mountain with a lot of wind. Didn't have a clue how chilly it was until we stopped and got out of the Defender to walk around a bit. The cab is a huge plus in my opinion. Met some others in a sports machine, and they were about frozen. We were in a sweatshirt and more than comfortable and NO dust.

Couldn't agree more. Now that I've owned a cab model I would never go back to an open side by side. I want to be able to use this thing no matter what the weather, not just when it is sunny and warm.

We have a sport SxS, but have a glass windshield with wiper/washers and heater.
We enclose the sides for the winter and ride all winter warm and dry

Just installed my $14 Kemi Moto windshield wiper on my CF today, LOL

It works really good.

I don't know what it is about the aerodynamics on this CF, but even after it stops raining, and even at 70 MPH on the highway, there seems to be no wind at all that hits the windshield because none of the droplets even move. So at least now i can give it a wipe.

Probably just going to use it to trail ride with now as I put the Boss plow back on the RTV today and got it ready for winter.

Since I was being a big spender with my $14 windshield wiper install, I noticed there was an unused hole in a bracket on the roll bar so I added a 5 inch Grote convex mirror.
Now when I fold in the outside mirrors when I'm in the single track bush trails I can see if the other riders are still behind me.
