Wow, the new programs on the 233 and 273 are incredible. If you have been looking at the TYM 23hp or 27hp you may want to pull the trigger now. For a T233 with loader at right about $11,000 or T273 with loader at about $12,000 you can't go wrong.

Thanks,
Maka

any idea how long the pricing will last or is this permanent?

At that price TYM is dumping tractors on the market at near cost. My guess is to move equipment sitting in warehouses. Cant sell at cost and stay in business so I wouldnt expect it to last for long for good or bad. I wouldn’t twiddle my thumbs…..

Figuring the backhoe costs $4500, that's about 3 thousand cheaper than I paid for mine back in June of 07. Figures, took me 5 years to buy one and they drop 3 grand 6 months after I buy. Pretty much on par with everything else I buy. That money would have bought some nice attachments.

Don't feel too bad. I can confirm that at least 1 of the TYM dealers is the United States are not giving the better pricing. Fortunately the other one close to me is. Trying to close the deal on a T273 w/loader by end of Feb.

Do they have any new price programs for their cab tractors?

Did you get your special program K273 tractor yet?

If that is directed to me, not yet...

I just spoke w/ a dealer around Cleveland. He said they are scrach and dent models. Apparently stuff that has been out at dealers, but the dealers probably dropped TYM and sent the tractors back. All less than 10 hours on them, and come w/ a 3 year warranty (i guess the 5 year would not apply?).

I was quoted under 13k for a T273, loader AND TYM built MMM. That sounds like quite a steal. The only draw back for me was that these came only w/ R4 tires. R3's would be extra.

That sounds like a rediculously good deal.

I can't find where anyone has had any real problems w/ the TYM tractors. Other than the lack of dealer availability, any issues?

I may just pull the trigger on one of these.

I order my T233's and T273's directly from TYM, delivered in a enclosed truck trailer and washed and shined with about 1 hour on them. They are new, new, new and not scratch and dent. I don't know what type of stuff the dealer is telling you but out here we are selling them like mad and they are advertising these prices in Capital Press (an ag publication).

I know all the dealer in our area like ID, MT, Wa. Or. Ca. etc. sell them for $10,995.00 for the 233 w/loader and $11,995.00 for the T273 w/loader.

I happen to know that what was happening out here was Kubota was advertising heavily the BX series in the high 11K range. TYM wants to be extremely competitive and made a move to grow market share by selling a much better spec'd tractor at a much better price.

I can report that in Jan. alone our sales of those two models equaled all of last years sales of those two models. It has been a great success for the dealers as well as TYM as far as I am being told.

Thanks,
Maka

I bet the difference is that you are dealing w/ the west coast TYM guys. Isn't there some funny deal where east coast and west coast TYM are separate?

Apparently someone down in NC stored all the inventory outside last year and everything at the distribution center got weathered. One dealer told me they had about 75 units like this at the first of the year to be moved.

I spoke w/ 2 dealers today (MI and PA) and neither mentioned anything about special pricing on shiny new models.

You are correct that this promotion is not in your neck of the woods. If you look up Capital Press and type in the search area TYM the full color ads we have out here are visible. It has dealers from Idaho, Montana, Wa., Ca. Oregon and Utah listed. These are all brand new machines at the prices advertised.

I saw a dealer in Texas advertising the same prices. Is this an on-going thing or only for a limited time?

I called a local TYM dealer that I'm interested in buying a T273. He doesn't seem very enthusiastic in selling the T223 and T273 at all. At least not at the advertised prices mentioned in this thread. He can get me one but wanted another $1400 for freight and prep charges. Is the advertised $12k price for real? or it's like those ad you saw car dealers put on the newspaper? I thought I could to pay exactly that plus sales tax for the tractor:confused:  Anyone know where in the California or the western states I can buy one for that price? Thanks.

I suspect only "stocking" dealers like Maka will be offering the pricing. I heard this is a planned thing and they deliberately ordered a large quantity of these units in order to get market penetration. I suspect the pricing will last only as long as the inventory.

My dealer in Newberg, OR is offering the good pricing: Valley View Tractor & Equipment,Inc.

I'll vouch for his service and support. He is first rate.

I'd suggest Yosemite Tractor, but maybe that is the guy that is less than enthusiastic?

I found another dealer not too far from me has a few T273 instock and can sell me one at the promotion price. Better yet, he said I can get a $600 rebate from TYM if I don't take the 0% financing and pay cash for it. My net price will only be $11,400. Wow! what's a deal.

I know there are some concerns that they could be going out of business? The 5 year warranty is great but only if TYM still around....

I took the leap this week on a T273. In my area the only special pricing I have been able to find are the limited number of dealer return tractors for dealer's that supposedly didn't renew w/ TYM this year.

I got the T273 and loader for 10,860. I'm expecting a little paint fading, but the tractor will have less than 10 hours on it when I get it. It had to be ordered, so I'll have to wait a couple weeks.

I was extremely impressed with the one I drove this week. In many ways the ergonomics are far superior to the JD 2520 I had previously. However I would say some of the plastics used for cosmetic trims don't seem to be of quite the same quality as JD. For 5k less, however, I just couldn't pass it up.

These TYM K2's seem to be the bargain of 2008. Hopefully they'll build some market share.
