Have a tiller question. Can I change the sher pin coupler on my land pride tiller to a clutch type just by changing the coupler. I just got the tiller tonight went about 10 feet and shered the bolt. Ct dirt is 90% rock.

I've seen slip clutches that go in between your PTO shaft and the tiller. In the $100 - $150 range. Probable you'd have to shorten the shaft a bit after adding the clutch.

I got a slip clutch on mine and on my old sovema tiller i had one too. I like the slip clutch over the sheer bolt as then a guy doesnt have to worry about much. Once you slip the clutch a few times(and you dont have to service them, i just do it for preventative maintenace), you can take them apart and clean the clutches and your good to go. You guys are lucky down there, Agri supply is awsome and the price is un matched. The slip clutch style that is like an adapter there is only 90 bucks, i looked at one the other day and it was over 200 here.
