pt-2425
Can anyone tell me where I can get some replacement tires for my pt2425? The Carlisle Super Lugs that came with the machine are not nearly tuff enough for the terrain here. Each tire, including the spare, has a leak (even with Slime in them). I need to find a VERY heavy duty lug tire that will fit the odd rims on the pt. Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
P.Matto

Have you tried putting tubes in them yet?

I had problems also until I added gemplers bulletproof grade slime. I haven't even had to add any air in close to 2 years. Pricey, but cheaper than tires.

DEESTONE makes a 23x10.50x12 'Super Heavy' 6 ply with a fairly aggresive thread.

Try one of the search engines.

Here is a previous post of mine showing the tires I bought:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...s-revisited-caution-alternative-reversed.html

I noticed in my post that I said "tire chair" - hope it was obvious I meant "tire chain". Sometimes I type like lightning, i.e., never strike the same key twice!

The tires are four ply RATED, not actually four ply. They seem to have a much thicker treader and about the same sidewall thickness as the OEM super lugs.

The sidewalls seem to be MUCH stiffer; I use abou 11 psi in them as opposed to the 14-15 psi in the originals for the same amount of sidewall flex with very heavy loads.

Regards,
Mark H

Thank you all for your advice. I will follow up on your suggestions as soon as I can. If anyone finds a heavy duty tire out there I will be happy to evaluate them for every one. I use my pt commercially so it gets sudubmittd to alot of punishment. I think th pt is an excellent machine but it could use a few upgrades on cetain things such as the tires. If it were a bit more durable it would make it unbeatable. The more hevy duty the better!
THANKS,
P. Matto
