If you do go the BX route and you intend to take it into woods, then I suggest you look into "under-armor" for the HST fan. Other than that they seem to be bulletproof from the user comments that I have read over the years. Some of the owner/operators who have gone this route can fill you in on the specifics.

Wanted to again say thanks to all for your responses.

Ran the BX2670 rental with the FEL and 60" MMM through its paces this past weekend;
1) Mowing 2 acres with both flat terrain and as well as some hills with a 30 to 40 degree incline with no issues (Flat terrain was mowed in 2WD and inclines in 4WD).
2) Moved 25yds of mulch with no trouble (My back was very thankful for that) In years past have always used shovel and wheelbarrow.
3) Moved a bunch of wood from trees that were cut down and then cut up. That wood has now all been picked up and yard is looking good.

The final out come here is I am now the proud owner of that BX2670.

Learned a very important lesson this weekend to make sure the garage door is all the way up before you drive out of it on a tractor with ROPS that are 84" inches high. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took about 5 hours to recover from that lesson which required multiple trips to the hardware store as well as some blacksmith skills to straighten out the damage!

Looking forward to more tractor adventures in future.

Congrats on the new BX. Those little BX's will do a LOT of work. Their small size belies their abilities.

I bought my little BX23 TLB to help remove a bunch of cedar trees with the intention of selling it when finished with the job. I'm not anywhere near finished with that work, but I can already say I don't think I can bring myself to sell it when the job is done. I just love it.

Congrats on the tractor, love mine, has saved my back! I too have learned that lesson of forgetting to fold the rops down before trying to pull into the garage.

:thumbsup: Congratulations!! You will wonder more every day why you waited so long to buy a Kubota SCUT.:drink:
I think most of us with ROPS higher than garage door that have taken our tractor in the garage knows your experience first hand.:D
I have a Kubota F2680e that will go in my rental property storage building with garage door with no problem. Slight rise from drive to garage floor but it won't come back out level concrete floor without hitting the garage door. Guess how I know.:eek:
Also, I have vinyl siding on my home garage bldg. and the edge of the front bucket will move up to one to two inches when you get real close to the bldg. and vinyl will always lose to the steel tip edge of the front bucket and if going at an angle the front edge tip of the extended near vinyl bucket will cut like a knife. Guess how I know, more than one time.:confused2:

Yep, the ROPS debacle seems to be a rite of passage here. I built my new barn with 10' high doors so I wouldn't ever do it again. Just need to avoid my garage! Congratulations on the new tractor.
