LOL. . Not enough for me... last year we had record snowfalls in the maritimes... hopefully this year will be the same.. make that kioti earn it's pay.. :0) we had 2 decent snowfalls this year but the temps go up and down so lots of melt. Wait a month and I'll show you snow. .. haha

We haven't had our first one down here yet.. I hate the stuff.

This is the way it looks in my yard with the blower.. think it looks decent for a 2009. What you guys think.. OK buy?

Not sure, can't really see all the details from here. If you could park it in my dooryard, under the big pine tree with all the lights, before the 25th of this month I'd be glad to put her through her paces for 'ya!:cool2:

BTW, make sure you ONLY run ULSD, ultra low sulfur diesel, ( off road diesel) in that rig, we just had an experience with a new Kioti owner who was using home heating oil, in NH, where they don't yet regulate the sulfur content, and his tractor was giving him some smoking issues as a result.
And with the ranges, if you're going uphill as you described in high, for instance, the pedal and hand throttle will regulate your ground speed BUT the transmission will not downshift, AND you can't shift on the fly- there's no synchromesh. If you loose enough momentum you will have to stop the tractor to shift into medium.

As far as the stop knobs for the levers it makes sense that one would want to stop the blower from getting too close to the windscreen. I would consider leaving them there always and getting another pair to put below the levers so you can set the depth for tilling, bush hogging, etc.

Ouff.. I don't think you guy's use diesel like we do down here in Canada. . :0) we have it at the pump... lol if it's good for car's it's good for the kioti. Home heating oil comes in a truck to your house.. wouldn't know how to get it... haha

Diesel should be good unless I use the wrong pump..

And you are correct for the locks.. just making sure nothing goes to high. I can always get 2 more like you said.. the lowering knob was less on the stiff side today.. I think it was a tad cold

Don't think I can drop it off to you as this counts for my next 25 Christmas gifts... haha

Your 2009 shouldn't have a problem with higher sulfur fuel. That may be a newer tractor with all the pollution control stuff issue.
I know on my 2001 DK 35 I have run high sulfur off road fuel and low sulfur fuel and it makes no difference

Ya mate, here in the States we have 'off road diesel', which has a dye in it, so if caught by the Po-Po one get's a big fine for using untaxed fuel on the road. Then there's taxed diesel, like you buy at the pump for on road use, and home heating oil, for guess what?
There seems to be some confusion over in NH about ULSD and other diesel, so I was just mentioning to be sure you use off road or whatever the Canadiens require up north of me.

Johny, Try to find out whether the diesel available in your area is ULSD, LSD, or high sulfur. As Coyote mentioned there are some states down here that still have not switched to ULSD. Your DK50 owners manual should list the required fuel. ULSD has been the only diesel available in my State for many years. I have tanks for home heating oil and one for my tractor. Our delivered HHO is #2 diesel ULSD (15PPM or less) and has been used in my tractors for years.

Regulations down here are bit different.. home heating oil and diesel oil are just not in same class.. we can get it but no one adds it to their cars or etc. .. what we have at the pump is what we get for everything that has an engine.. :0) some will use home heating oil but it's probably 1%..

Here's the Canada diesel info.

What is ultra low sulphur diesel fuel?*
Ultra low sulphur diesel fuel (ULSD) is fuel that contains less than 15 parts per million sulphur. It is usually used for both on-road and off-road applications. Since Oct. 1, 2010, all on-road and off-road diesel fuel in Canada, except for rail and marine applications, must be ULSD.

What is regular sulphur diesel fuel?*
Regular sulphur diesel fuel (RSD) is fuel used for off-road applications such as rail and marine only. As of Oct. 1, 2010, regular sulphur diesel fuel must contain less than 500 parts per million (0.05 wt %) sulphur.
