New to me 3320

I finally located the 3320 I was looking for via the Tractor House site. It only has 230 hours on it....and looks like new. Has the right stuff for my needs, eHydro, 300CX loader, 3rd remotes WITH hydraulics to the front via optional JD lines, block heater, HD Grille Guard, Big R4 tires and more. It's all ready for that Markham 48" grapple.

The one thing strange was that this tractor has the "standard" 61" bucket. I would much prefer the HD bucket....but it wasnt a deal breaker. I'm going to beef it up bit. I think if I put a channel along the top, add a strap to each side and put my modified tooth bar (from my 790) on the bucket....I should be good to go. (?)

I'm happy that I found a nice clean used 3320 at a fair price. :thumbsup:

Yep...pretty clean for and 06. The former owner did some brush hogging and used it for snow removal. He bought a 4X20 with a cab to replace this tractor. This tractor has spent most of its time in a nice shed. :thumbsup:

If your 790 had a 61" bucket, the tooth bar shouldn't require any modification at all. Mine (from my old 790) fit right in the 4400's bucket.

If my memory serves.....the bucket on my 790 is 54" wide. So, I will need to either modify the tooth bar or buy a new one. (My 790 lives 150 miles away.....and I need to measure to make certain....'cause I don't trust my memory at times :laughing

I'm not certain on the differences from the "standard" bucket vs the "Heavy Duty" bucket. Anyone know if its the same general bucket with just reinforcement added? ....or is the overall bucket metal thicker?

I had a neighbor that has the standard bucket and bent the top down moving a log. I pushed it straight again then took a legnth of either 2"x2" or 2"x3" 1/4" thick angle iron and welded it across the top of the bucket with the legs facing down on the bucket. Hold it back from the front lip so it rests flat across the top. Find a good MIG welder and weld it solid. I also welded on 3 grab hooks to the flats of the angle. He has had no more issues with it bending and has had the same loader on two tractors. I can get a picture of the repair if this isn't clear.
