If my memory serves.....the bucket on my 790 is 54" wide. So, I will need to either modify the tooth bar or buy a new one. (My 790 lives 150 miles away.....and I need to measure to make certain....'cause I don't trust my memory at times :laughing

My 790's bucket was 61" (standard bucket on a 419 loader). Since you have a 70 loader...well, I'd think it's a 61", but you'll know soon enough.
It's pretty easy to modify the tooth bar. I think I already described what I did in another thread (and IIRC, you asked the question).

You know it really doesn't matter much whether the existing bucket is heavy duty or not as long as the bucket is beefed up before it gets bent. I would brace it up right away and you should have no worries.

I think if I put a channel along the top, add a strap to each side and put my modified tooth bar (from my 790) on the bucket....I should be good to go. (?)

I agree on the bucket mods. Although, you might consider a section of rectangular steel tubing across the top edge instead of the channel. You could run the flat stock up to the top of tubing and weld the ends of the tubing closed. Probably go with 5/16" or maybe even 3/8" if you're feeling especially "hefty" on the flat bar and 1/4" wall on the tubing!!

Great looking tractor foggy, glad to see you finally found one in decent shape. BTW, the HD bucket has a double wall across the top of the bucket and has additional banding on the bottom & sides. If you have the room (or the need), I know the 3320 will handle the 72" bucket with no problem at all; I bought both the 5' and 6' when I purchased the tractor (5' for when I'm in the woods & 6' for when I'm out in the open). I already had a tooth bar for the 5' too, so that made my mind up for me; also the dealer had a really good price on the used (but looked like new) 6' HD bucket that I just couldn't pass on after our snowfall last year.

I'm not certain on the differences from the "standard" bucket vs the "Heavy Duty" bucket. Anyone know if its the same general bucket with just reinforcement added? ....or is the overall bucket metal thicker?

The metal is the same thickness but the bucket is reinforced in several places. The top edge is a welded tube and much stronger. I bent the top edge on my old bucket but the HD one held up fine. In fact it has a hook welded to it and I pull on it quite hard at times.

Also the bar is stronger and has holes in it for teeth. You can put another edge on it too if I remember.

Maybe you can talk to your dealer about a trade up, might be cheaper than reinforcing it. The HD bucket is 73" long, the 3320 can take it with ease. I fill it to overflowing with rocks, etc.
