Lets add up in 5 yrs the cost of parts, running for parts, lost production and your time making repairs instead of being productive. What will the sale price of the tractor be in 5 years ?

I have had my Chinese Dong Feng since March 2011. I now have 230 Hrs on it. It always starts and runs great. The only failure was the voltage regulator which still charged but at 13.5 Volts instead of 14. I caused this by leaving the key on for several days.

A new regulator was 12.00 and was at my door in 2 days.

Other than that all I do is change the oil and drive it.

This tractor was 13,500 Brand new with loader and cab.

I looked at New holland and Kubota but at more than double the price it was an easy decision.

Ive also noticed that parts are super cheap for these. Thats a nice added bonus.

Maybe its not clear, but im not a production farmer who's livelyhood depends on working 100 acres. Im a homeowner with a couple acres that is going to use this for general grading, some light digging (prepping for slab foundations), moving mulch, light gravel, tilling my garden, grading small woods roads, etc.

This thing will likely get 50 hours a year max. Meaning its an order of magnitude below the projection you're scaling.

Looking back at your posts, i see that you make a lot of similar comments in other chinese tractor comments. We get it, theyre not high end production tractors, but most of us dont use them as such, why post here in a context thats not applicable?

A deere is certainly a better tractor, noone is questioning that. But its also 10 grand.

Buy a fuel injector or injector pump for that John Deere,your Injector pump $ 1,800.00 Ours s $ 445.00, buy a Injector for your tractor $ 250.00 ,Ours is $ 42.00 , It's all relative, I'm a utility contractor and use equipment everyday in my line of work, including tractors, excavators, dozers, ect. The hobby farmer can get a great return on investment with these Chinese tractors, if you do find a used one they don't last long

The biggest problem with the Chinese tractors was parts availability years ago, we can get customers parts now in 2-3 days, because they are in stock,at 1/3 of the cost of your parts

Not everyone wants to drive and pay for a Mercedes, a Chevy , Ford, Dodge will get you to the same place

Also, i was amused by your very thorough packing material. It worked great for keeping things solid... if a bit unconvential.

Im rather amazed that the gaskets on jinmas are just cardboard in some instances. I know this isnt out of the norm (I have an old 1960s gravely that also has cardboard gaskets), but its surprising to see it on a more modern machine.
